Why Should We Share The Gospel?
The Urgency and Joy of Sharing the Gospel
One of the most significant callings for every follower of Jesus Christ is the sharing of the gospel—the good news of salvation through faith in Him. But why is this so vital? What does Scripture teach about our responsibility and motivation to proclaim Christ? Let’s explore these questions through a biblical lens.
1. The Great Commission: Christ’s Command
Jesus’ final instructions to His disciples were clear and direct:
Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. - Matthew 28:19-20 ASV
This command is not optional or reserved for a select few; it is a mandate for all believers. Jesus entrusts His followers with the incredible privilege and responsibility of being His witnesses to the world.
2. The Need of the World: Lost Without Christ
The Bible teaches that all people are separated from God because of sin, and only through Jesus can they be reconciled:

6. The Joy of Obedience and Fruitfulness
Sharing the gospel brings deep joy and satisfaction. We are promised spiritual fruit as we obey Christ:

There is no greater joy than seeing lives changed by the message of Jesus.
